week 2

I had many self-reflection chances in my freshmen English I had to write paragraphs just like these and analyze my writing in order to find things that I needed to improve on. Like, for example, I had to read my paper and write down any mistakes I had for me I had grammar mistakes so I looked to always try to improve in that field. 

Something I was able to improve on was the use of rhetoric situation. I’m now able to always find a way to make my papers relate in some way to my audience. Also was able to improve my grammar. I fixed many silly mistakes I would make while writing.

week 3

The rhetorical situation of my portfolio was to exhibit my work in a safe environment. And also to be able to work as a self-reflection on how I have improved my writing throughout the course. This will include much of my work, such as from my research paper to my narrative paper. I will find it very helpful in the ways that I will see my progress throughout my years. This was made mostly for other classmates to see my work and give me peer review on it, so I can improve. It also was worked on for my professor in order for them to see my work process, and my achievements in their course.

week 4

 The rhetorical situation for the product review essay is first my audience will be my class and my professor for the writing of engineers class. Our professor had asked us to choose a product from our house which we have information on. I decided to choose my ROKU TV which is a revolutionary Smart TV made for outdoor and indoor places. So I would just want to give them a good extent of how the ROKU TV  works and why is a great piece of technology.

week 5

I will say something hopeful that I’ve learned in my writing process is taking comments and peer editing, which has been implemented before, but I will feel that this year it has probably helped me more. This has helped me in making my essays better and in order to clarify even more of my information when I did the product review essay, was told to include the price of the ROKU TV and also how it functions better than other TVs. something that I would like to spend more time during this week is probably lab reports and I know that our class takes a little while. Still, I would love to spend more time on lab reports in order to understand them and how to analyze them. If this clarification, sometimes doesn’t happen in class or any other type of information, I will just try to look it up on the internet or I will try to ask any partners.

week 6\7

 The rhetorical situation for my lab report and analysis is first I will have to demonstrate three different lab reports on a similar topic. I have chosen cancer as my main topic for my lab reports. These lab report analyses are going to be read and received by my professor Mrs. Rodwell. I will have just to dedicate some type of research and most of my time I’ll be reading over these 10-page reports in order to have some information about them and be able to analyze how the author reaches his purpose or what he is trying to understand. They use different type of techniques, such as using a survey or an experiment.

Week 8

So far in this year with my time management skills, they have been going very well, especially for my English course and my US history course as both them take long time with different readings for Professor Rodwell class I was able to organize the readings and make sure I have time for them so I take like even Saturdays or Sundays and I do my reflections on  Friday. As for my US history course, I have taken like a whole three weeks to read a book before I even start writing about it in an essay called “The jungle by Upton Sinclair. I feel like time management is all about taking time. Make sure you have enough to do certain things such as if you know you have like 100 like maybe 20 pages a day and make sure you have like seven days to be able to do it. Time management I feel all about like just making sure and putting stuff ahead more important such as if you’re really like procrastinating and just laying around is probably the best way to start getting yourself doing it like oh while the consequences of it and try to make it your top priority to finish.

week 9

 The experience I hadn’t working in groups during this class has been somewhat helpful and somewhat useless. The work being done in my group is sometimes done on time and sometimes not meeting the deadline or the requirements. Something that I did have been able to gain from doing this work is the use of peer review as my members usually help a lot by leaving comments and suggestions in my writing. Something I will do the optimizing experience during the collaborative project and our class is be able to choose my roommates as I was able to have Jean Carlo and Batsheva in my group so far and I’m hoping that we will be able to do a great project together.

Week 10

The assignment’s Technical Description is to describe the product all parts and sub-parts. I chose to do a PS4 controller. My goal I’m trying to be able to teach someone about how a PS4 controller works and functions with its parts. Most of the audience I’m aiming for would be people that never been able to build or know what a PS4 controller is. This assignment will be written in a format to be able to explain every part and sub-part of the product.

Week 13

So the learning outcome that I most was able to enhance during this time of working in this class is the use of drafting. I feel that the use of draft really help me make many improvements from my writing. As I was able to spot my errors from writing multiple times the same paper. Such as the lab report analysis I was able to fix some words and explain better topic such as the use of prostate cells. And also I was able to fix any of my grammar mistakes as I always struggle with grammar and being able to really help me fix these errors.

Week 14

So the most useful technique that I was able to learn, or improve from this composition course. Was mentioned many times throughout my other reflections was drafting and editing. As my drafting and editing has increased to a higher level than what it was last year as I was able to finally be able to spot way more mistakes and organize my work in better ways , such as when writing with scientific wording like anti-coding. I was able to go back after my first draft and explain it in the simpler way after consulting my professor. And also I was able to fix any of my grammar mistakes from different as a such as product review, essay in order to give a better flow.
